Spicy Lo Mein

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz ramen noodles
  • 1 block extra firm tofu cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ white onion sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced thinly
  • 1 carrot cut into match sticks
  • 1 cup red shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup broccoli crowns
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 -2 tbsp hot chili oil
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions and set them asideHeat a large frying pan over medium high heat, add the oil. Add the tofu and cook for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with the garlic powder and flip the tofu over, cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the tofu from the pan and set asideAdd the onion, peppers, carrots, broccoli,cabbage, green onions and garlic to the frying pan. Add the sesame oil, vinegar, chili oil, tamari and soy sauce, cook for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables soften a bit.  Add the noodles and tofu back to the pot with vegetables and combine all togetherAdd all to a plate and top with sesame seeds and cilantro

Cook the noodles according to the package instructions and set them aside
